Jesca
received a $471 initial payment.
"The biggest difference in my daily life is having roofed my commercial house that had taken over five years without us having the means to roof it. Prior to receiving this money, our only hope to roof it was to farm until we raise the money to cater for it."

Victor
received a $23 fourteenth payment.
"In the next six months, I will have eased my dad's burden by paying my school fees. This will release him and have him worry about my other siblings. I am also certain that I will have purchased a few goats as an investment plan. This would not have happened if it weren't for GD's unconditional transfers. Before GD, I used to stay home without fees because as the elder child priority was always given to my younger siblings. But I am glad that now I can attend school consistently."

Joyce
received a $471 initial payment.
"The biggest difference in my daily life is that, I have settled all the debts that I had incurred after the death of my child. I am now having a peace of mind which is enabling me to recover with ease. Before getting this transfer, I didn't have hope to settle the debts soon because most of the assets I had were sold to pay my child's medical expenses. In addition, I have acquired a solar that provides light at night that has relieved me from the burden of buying dry cells for the torch weekly."

"In the next six months, I will have started constructing a house for my household members. The one we live in is small and we have outgrown it. This has been made possible thanks to GD's monthly support and the table banking systems we started at the village level. I am certain of the completion of the project."

"My expectation is that my living standards will improve. I believe my income sources will have increased especially from my vegetable business. I also believe that I will have made a great step towards the construction of my vegetable kiosk. It is always safe to face life with more than one source of income. I believe in the next six months, my life, as well as my family wellbeing, will have greatly improved"

"The biggest difference in my life is that I now have a stable reliable source of Income. I managed to buy a dairy cow and fortunately it has started producing milk. Of which l sell some milk in our local market and some for my family consumption. Since the milk has started getting me some income, my family has never gone to bed hungry. We are able to at least meet our daily needs. I also now have enough comfortable seats to sit on, my family members no longer sit on water container any more."

Stanley
received a $529 second payment.
"The biggest difference in my life is that i have managed to build a very nice spacious ironroofed granary to store my grains, I am sure of not running at a lose again as i use to. The granary is also very spacious that can accommodate many bags of maize comfortably as compare to before when I was using a very small grass-thatched leaky granary. My grains will in a safe place that I will not need to dry them out every now and then. I also now have enough cattle that I can sell when I have any emergency. "

Rusi
received a $529 second payment.
"The biggest difference in my life is that l am able to till my farm with ease as compared to before when I had to hire people's oxen which could take too long before they work on my farm and it was also very expensive. Sometime I would go as far as using my own hand to till my farm and that is not the case now. I am now able to plant on time that usually leads to high production, which is always enough to sustain my family for a longer period before next planting season. I also now have a stable reliable source of Income. Since I managed to buy dairy cow and fortunately it has started producing milk. Of which l sell some milk in our local market and some for my family consumption. Since the milk has started getting me some income, my family has never gone to bed hungry. We are able to at least meet our daily needs."
