"I am so happy since the transfers empowered me to buy a pair of oxen which is now my dependable living assets. "Presently, life is so different from how it use to be before we receive transfers from Give Directly. After we lost our mother, our father abandoned us and went to live with his second wife. As the eldest son in the family, I was left with task to provide for my siblings. Lucky enough I had completed my high school and now I would seek casual jobs so that I would raise money to feed them and take them to school. When Give Directly came, I was enrolled so that I would receive the transfers to support my family. After I received the first transfers I purchased building materials and build a good house made of iron sheets. The house which we had was mad wall house with grass touched roof. I intend to pursue an electrical engineering course and with the money which I got can cater to my school for the whole course. I believe after I graduate, I will have a better chance to secure a job which would enable me to earn some income to support my siblings."
