"My husband does not send money all the times. I usually have to go do casual labour. This money will help me fix my house and buy enough food for my household"

"Food insecurity is the biggest hardship in my life. I am depending on charcoal vending, a job that earns me hard enough to fully support my family's needs especially food. We are forced to eat twice a day or even go without food and sometimes to borrow from our neighbors something that has degraded our respect in the village. The transfer we are about to receive will be a great boost as I am planning to spend it wisely."

"The biggest hardship that I have faced is payment of school fees. It has always been my desire to see my children do well in school but with limited resources at my disposal, I have not been able to give them the best. There are times that they have been sent home for school fees but I thank God that they are where they are now."

"I am a parent with six children, all of them in school. I feel that their way to a bright future is through giving them the best education. My husband and I never got a chance like this and we have a mutual feeling that many of our current challenges are as a result of not getting the best as far as education is concerned. That is why my number priority right now is to invest heavily in the education of my children. My firstborn daughter is in high school and I pay 10000 shillings each year as school fees. My 5 other children are in their primary level of schooling and I spend 20000 shillings annually to cater for their uniforms and books. This is so much for me to handle and I feel that the burden is going to be heavier when they all transition to high school. Receiving this money will be a big sigh of relief to me as I will save a good portion of this transfer for my children's school fees."

"I am so passionate about poultry keeping and this is something that has been with me for the longest time now. I love it because it does not require a lot of space and it easy to manage to a point that even a disabled person like myself can do. Chicken is also a good source of protein for my growing children. To start it off, I want to invest heavily in the structure and I plan to spend 30000 shillings on the same. I also plan to buy 50 chicken each costing 500 shillings. Poultry feeds is also important and I will spend 20000 shillings on this. This is enough to get my business up and running. Receiving this money will mean so much to me as it will enable me to gain financial independence."
