"My biggest hardship I have faced is when I drop out of collage in the year 2017 and decided to get married. Since then life has never been good to me, my parents disowned me, my husband is not able to raise money so that I go back to school. We even struggled to meet our basic needs such as food and clothing."

"I was so happy to see an Mpesa message on my phone when I woke up in the morning. I cannot describe the kind of happiness I had, I celebrated with my children after receiving the good news. With the money, I saw my dreams had come true, I was now going to be able to plant like the rest of the people in the village and my family was going to get a new house."

"I was so happy with my family when I received the Mpesa message saying I had received the money, I could not believe my eyes and I cannot describe the amount of happiness that I felt. I felt a ray of hope in me because I had lost all hope of ever getting such kind of money. I thanked God for answering my prayers and I was happy because I was going to finish up building my house."

"Receiving this money means I will be able to expand my house so that it can be spacious enough for my family. I intend to use 40,000 Kenya shillings to expand my one-roomed house into three-roomed house so that to accommodate us with my six children. I will also use 20,000 Kenya shillings to add more capital into my existing hotel business so that I can get more income which will assist in any financial needs. The remaining amount will be used in our daily needs such as food and clothing."

"The biggest hardship I have faced in my life is reviving my business after being robbed at gun point and beaten mercilessly by robbers. This was 4 years ago(2016). This happened at my home at night in the presence of my husband and my last born son who was only 5 years at that time. My spouse and I sustained injuries. This has been torturing me psychologically. I have been living in fear that they might come back another day. Things have never been the same. I have been struggling to pay school fees for my children due to the economic set back."
