"Receiving this money means I will be able to renovate my house and build a pit latrine.Iam completely blind, so have no better ways of making money. I was abandoned by my spouse after getting blind and life really is so miserable. I even do digging through sensory nerves in my hands using a stick hence each year I realise little harvest to sustain the family. A pit latrine will improve hygein in my family thus preventing diseases like diaheoria , desentry from attacking us."

"The biggest hardship that I am faced with is poverty. I have only a small potion of land which I depend on to produce food that feeds my family. Being a man who has children, the small piece of land that I have is not able to produce food that can sustain my household needs. It is therefore common for me to do casual labour as a way of trying to supplement on on the little that I am able to harvest. In most cases, the yields are even not good because the land is over used. I have always had food shortage in my home and I think I have just lived in the poverty cycle all my life."

"I expect my life to change in the next four months in that I will have bought a heifer and this will give me hope to only concentrate on the school fees for my children. When this heifer starts reproducing, I will be able to sell milk and get some money to use in meeting other household necessities. This will also help me save the money I would otherwise use in buying milk."

"When I receive this money, I am going to first buy a bed, mattress and good bedsheets because I have been sleeping down for a long time. I will also buy some household items like curtains, utensils, furniture and others. If there is any balance, I will also beautify my house and the rest I will just use it to have good meals."

"I am going to build a house that is spacious enough for the whole family. We have been living in a small house without any comfort because all the children and adults share the same roof. So, with this cash gift GD is going to give us, it will be an opportunity for us to sleep with comfort. I also have school going children that require fees and it has not been easy for me. The GD transfers are going to enable me pay their school fees without any hustle."
