How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My life is different in that, I have aquired a piece of land that I believe will increase my crop production. Further more, I have owned a cow that is going to help me with my children's education and milk. Previously, I had only an acre of land that couldn't produce enough harvest to support my family and didn't have a cow of my own.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
GiveDirectly did well to give me cash that enabled me to purchase a piece of land and a cow. GiveDirectly has not done bad in anyway on my side, it has helped me a lot.
What did you spend your second transfer on?
I spent my second transfer to purchase a piece of land, a cow and making bricks.

Describe the biggest difference in your daily life.
The biggest different in my daily life is the overwhelming joy I feel on the thought that my children will be at school without being sent home for fees. Before getting this transfer, my husband and I used to deal in buying and reselling piglets to raise fees for our children. Secondly, I am glad that I have an addition farm land that I am currently cultivating on. This will help me to increase on the food production subsistencely and commercially to support my family. This will therefore relieve me from hiring farm land.
Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
As I heard an sms on my phone, I checked and was overwhelmed with joy and happiness to have received my portion of transfer. The issue my children's fees would be sorted. This was the first thought that struck my mind.
What did you spend your first transfer on?
I spent my transfer Ugx 900000 to clear a fees debt for the previous term and complete fees for this term for my children who are in secondry four and one. I also used part of my transfer Ugx 700000 to deposit on farm land that I had plan to buy. I then used the balance to buy three piglets.

The happiest part of the day is afternoon while chatting with my spouse on how to raise and maintain a better family. This makes me comfortable since we share the family responsibilities.
