"Having a proper shelter has always been the wish of the family. The situation of the house that we currently reside in is dire. It is a single room that hardly accommodates all of us. Receiving this money will, therefore, enable us to construct a better house and equip it with the necessary items. Apart from that, I have a child who is in college, and I feel this transfers will come in handy. It has been a real struggle to keep him in school due to finances and it is a sign of relief to him knowing that attainment of his dreams will never be an uphill task anymore."

"Struggling with paying school fees is the biggest hardship that I have faced in my life.My seven children have gone through education to the university level and this is what has drained us financially. We only depend on agriculture which has a lot of challenges, the major ones being long dry spells and crop disease. We also have a large family since it is polygamous.I therefore cannot depend fully on my spouse.I live in a small mud house because I have channelled all my resources to education. My last born is almost through with university which is giving me a sigh of relief. "I currently live in a mud walled house. It is very tedious to maintain it. Furthermore, it harbors too much dust which pose as a health hazard. Thus receiving this money means an improvement in my living standards. I am planning to put up a more decent semi permanent house free devoid of dust and cold. "

"In 2017,I gave birth to our firstborn daughter.I developed complications during delivery that necessitated close monitoring and admission at the nearest hospital. We stayed in the hospital for close to two weeks and with each passing day,the hospital bill kept going up.This really strained us financially considering the fact that my spouse and I do not have any stable means of income except for our small farm. This is the biggest hardship I have faced."

"The biggest hardship I have faced is school fees.I have eleven children and they are all in school;two in primary, three in secondary and four in colleges and university. Two have completed but have not secured jobs yet.My spouse is very old and therefore all the weight of raising the fees as well as all the other basic needs in the family are left to me.Money is very hard to come by in this area especially where the only economic activity we depend on is maize farming;which has been adversely affected by crop diseases and drought."

"Receiving this money means that i will be able to construct a more spacious house since the one we currently live in is one roomed and serves as a kitchen, living room as well as bedroom. I will then use the remaining part of my transfer to build a kitchen coop that will enable me to venture into poultry farming. I also have in mind the plan to buy barbed wire and wire mesh to fence around my compound."

"The biggest hardship that I am faced with is lack of money. I have only one house which I share with my children. I have not been able to build another one because I don't have money. The little that I get is spent on school fees and provision of other household needs. I can not save."

"The biggest hardship that I am faced with is shortage of food. I don't have land that I can cultivate in order to harvest enough food for the family. This sometimes forces me to hire land but this is expensive the fact that I don't have money. It is also time bound which does not give ample time for me to do the things I would like to do at my convenience."
