"My first priority when I receive this money is completing building my house which is almost done.I will then pay school fees for my children.I have one child in secondary school and three children in primary school. My children also need a small house;single room separate from the main house since they are all grown now. "Unfavorable climatic conditions have been the biggest hardship in my life. Fresh water is a precious commodity, and lack of it can pose unimaginable consequences. At the moment, we receive dismal amounts of rainfall year in year out. This has led to poor crop production, unproductive livestock farming and wastage of resources in purchasing food and water. This has been a great hurt to our already struggling economic stability. The baskets of needs keep enlarging every day and with no reliable sources of income, that explains the extent of constraining we are faced with as a family. With these transfers coming our way, it is a sign of relief because the issue of water shortage will be addressed once I successfully build water reservoirs and it will lead to economic growth. Hopefully, I will be able to venture into agriculture with much ease and I believe the question food insecurity will be ultimately addressed."

"Ten years down the line, the biggest hardship that has been a bother to me is having to engage in casual jobs in people's farms in order to earn a living despite my old age, due to drought and unpredictable rainfall patterns. This is unlike in the past where i could harvest more yields in my farm and we had plenty to feed on as well as more for sale. This has been the greatest challenge i face in life"

"With an incessant increasing population, size of land for farming has continued to decline. This has massively hampered food production resulting in food insecurity, not to mention a soil borne disease that has condemned the community to food shortage over the last decade. As for my case, I have six children and with no employment nor a source of income. It has become so hard by day to put food on the table. My biggest worry is that the ripple effects are going to greatly take a toll on their education thus making them drop out of school. This is the biggest hardship I've faced in my life. "

"I expect my life to change b in the next six months in that I will have plastered my house. I would want to make my house more presentable and strong. I can only manage this through plastering of the house. I want to use my transfers to buy building materials such as cement and sand which I will use in plastering my house."

"The biggest hardship in my life is lack of necessities to make life enjoyable. Necessities like food, medication, education, are among the many I lack. This is caused by lack of a reliable source of income that is capable of solving most of the problems. "

"The biggest hardship in my life is lack of a credible source I income in order to finance most of my household activities. I would have built an iron roofed house long ago but due to lack of financial support, I could not make my dream come true."

"Owning five goats is the biggest difference in my daily life so far. I am hoping very soon they will multiply because currently, some have started reproducing. My wish is to exchange the off-springs for a dairy cow. This is because buying a dairy cow is very expensive which I cannot afford to purchase at the moment. My hope is that when I get the dairy cow, I will be getting milk for my family consumption and also sell some. Thus, this income will be helpful in paying school fees for my children and also cater to my other basic family's needs."
