"I expect my life to change in the next six months in that I will have started poultry keeping project. With this project running well, I will be able to use my transfers to invest in other income-generating activities as I use the income generated from the poultry project to cater for my family needs. Joseph
received a $485 third payment.
"There is a difference because of the pool table which I bought approximately three months ago. I have been able to generate e a lot of cash as compared to what I used to get in the past. Like I have mentioned above, I have to make sure that I save as much as I can so that I can be able to further expand the business by buying a second table.
Apart from that, I used the other cash transfers to buy a few household items which I did not have and some of those items include gas cooker, cooking pots tea table and a carpet. I also used another portion of the money to sort my rental arrears that amounted to approximately Kes 70000."

"My life is now different in that, I regained ownership of my six acres of land that were in the creditor's possession. In this land, I have planted a varriety of food crops i.e maize, groundnuts, potatoes etc hence assuring me of food security for my family. Previously, I used to travel long distance to my grandmother's home in order to find land to plant crops which wasn't even big enough."

"Receiving this money means that I will be in position to buy land. Iam facing a big challenge of no land because my spouse has many Siblings to share the inhereited portion. This has affected us economically since I depend on one garden for both settlement and farming. My family members some times even lack enough food to survive on. The chrildren have ended up dorging class due to hunger."

"My biggest hardship is inadequate land for crop cultivation in order to support our household. We are basically farmers and we can not sustain our household without land to cultivate. We are only surviving on an acre of land which is not sufficient. "

"We started building an ironsheets house 4 years back but the construction stalled due to lack of money. It is a shell house that needs completion. So, when I receive this money, I will make sure that I complete the construction of the house. In that, I will buy doors, iron sheets and other relevant materials so that we also sleep in a decent house. I will also buy a cow that will help in milk production for home consumption."
