Joanes
received a $22 twenty-first payment.
"For me to change my life, I will have to make sure that I work extra hard by doing more of the manual jobs which can earn me some returns which I then use to pay school fees for my kids. In addition to the jobs, I will rely on the monthly transfers from GD to boost my earnings. Based on this, I am sure that my kids will go to school without being worried about being sent away due to fees arrears."

Ruth
received a $39 twelfth payment.
"Before I started receiving my transfers, I was living in my parent's house. I was not financially stable to rent my own house and even support my daughter well. I had to put up in my mother's house so as to reduce other expenses such as house rent. I was not feeling very comfortable living together with them due to my age and I also needed some privacy. I did not have any option and had to accept my condition. After receiving the transfers and starting a business, I was able to earn an income consistently and as a result, I have my own place. I do not stay with my parents which has really helped me grow in being responsible with my finances."

Weldon
received a $22 twentieth payment.
"In the next six months, I believe that I would have added one more sheep. This would act as an asset to me. I believe that the more sheep I own the more I will become richer because they will reproduce and increase in number. They will come in handy whenever emergencies occur. They will also help me achieve most of my goals because I can sell them and get capital to start whatever project I am intending to do."

Mercy
received a $22 twentieth payment.
"I believe that in the next six months I will have leased land and successfully planted my crops. I opted to do this to add more space for farming since the land which we have currently is too small to rear dairy cows and at the same time crop production. I am planning to plant maize because it does so well in this area. I am hopeful that I will get a good harvest and I will store some for consumption at home and sell the surplus. This would save us the money which we currently spend on buying maize flour. I will instead channel this money to start other meaningful projects."

Mary
received a $39 twelfth payment.
"I have always had a foodstuff business which has been my main source of income. I have always desired to raise it to a standard where I have a permanent premise but due to high rent for business premise and low profits, I was not able to. I had to put up with the small space and the tents where I could carry the business. So far I have not acquired a specific premise for the business but I am glad the business is doing well. The profit margin has increased because of better stock and I know when I finally acquire the place, I will be able to raise a good income for the rent and remain with some amount for savings."

Paschalia
received a $48 eighth payment.
"Giving cash to everyone was the best Idea. It was not based on any form of discrimination which brought a lot of peace in our group. We are more united as a result of GD transfers. I do not feel there is anything GD could have done better."
