"Receiving this money means that I will be able to increase the size of my house and also buy two dairy cattle. Currently, I reside in a small house that is less spacious together with my kids. I intend to use 300USD to extend one room on either side of my house of which one will be study room plus bedroom for my kids and the other one sitting room for all of us. This will ensure that there is privacy amongst all of us and also an ample space for the kids to study and sleep. Additionally, I will use 400USD to purchase two exotic dairy cattle to supplement my family with milk and the surplus sell to the nearby shopping center. This will ensure I have a regular source of income to sustain my family. The remaining balance from the transfer will be to buy household furnitures."

""Lack of reliable source of income has become my biggest hardship in life. I am a charcoal vendor and this job is tiresome and earns me 300 shillings per one sack. It takes a week for sack to be ready for sale. This money is not enough to cater for all my basic needs e.g food.""

"This region is very unproductive because of poor soil and lack of rains. This has brought about my biggest hardship which is lack of food. Year in year out I have been forced to buy food since what I get from my farm is barely enough to feed my children. With two acres of land I get less than 10 sacks of maize in two seasons."

"Receiving this money means a great transformation in my life. I have desired to complete the construction of my house but this has been in vain due to my financial limitation. The house I am living at the moment is incomplete and leaking because I have just placed old rusty iron sheets as the roof. My plan is to spend $ 500 to purchase new iron sheet, cement and labor changes."

"Financial instability is the biggest hardship that I face. This is because we rely on casual jobs for a living. My husband burns charcoal in the jungle where he spends up to a year without coming home. The area is so remote that he cannot access mobile money services to send us cash. This situation has forced my children to drop out of school due to lack of school fees."

"The tough economic times have really weighed me down in the recent years . I am a charcoal vendor and the demand is very low;the main reason being lack of money from the customers who have opted for other cheaper means of cooking fuel. Getting an alternative source of income has been a challenge. This has made me stagnate financially because what I get is only enough to cater for food expenses. Paying school fees has remained to be a struggle."
