"Those challenges I'm currently faced with are: firstly, the lack of money to support the home, my children's father refused to support his children, and I'm not doing any good Job, we manage to eat when I go to help people bag their charcoal, they give portion of it as a pay, which I tie and sell by retail; sometimes my siblings send supports. Secondly, I don't have any partner that will show up those concerns, such as buying me clothes, sending my children to school, etc."

"The biggest difference is in my daily life is that I am living a happy life after accomplishing my dream of constructing a respectable shelter for the family. I did not believe that I would be able to build such a good house in a short period because of poverty. I had lost the hope of owning a good house like others in the village. The casual jobs that I was doing earn me hardly enough to construct a better shelter."

"Should I be qualified to receive money from Givedirectly, I intend to use the money for school fees because my mother had been unable to pay for my school fees since I dropped from school when I got promoted to the 8th Grade and became pregnant. It has been three years now since my aunt that was paying my school fees stopped because of my pregnancy, I have not been to school, and that it has been my dream to continue my education should anyone be able to help me. However, by being enroll in the GD program today makes me feel that my dream will come true because of the opportunity given me to be enroll. Secondly, my boy friend has been doing his best but the little he can get cannot pay my school fees and at the same time cater to our daughter. This had made it even more difficult for me to go back to school."

"The most difficulty I have been faced with is food for substanance for me and the family. The reason we have been hardly hit by food crisis is because it takes a year to harvest a cassava farm. However, before the harvest comes, we are already starving because there is no other means of livelihood except the small cassava farm we made each year. Secondly, I have been sick with an unusual skin disease for over 20 years without cure. I have been to several hospitals, health center and/or traditional healers but to no avail. This has also impeded my ability to find additional sources of livelihood for me and the family. For example, in August 2021 as the rainy season intensified, things got very tough on us that me and the family went over two weeks without adequate food intake. As of now, even though things are getting a bit better, we are still in a food crisis state and that I think could worsen if no one intervenes."
