"Financial inadequacy is the most challenge we are currently facing. I run a small business in a nearby town, especially during the market days. My husband is also employed as a casual laborer which is hard to get yet we are all at the sunset age of our lives. Market days come once a week thus making my porridge vending business unsustainable because I get an estimated profit of KES 200. Additionally, I have 2 school-going children; 1 in secondary level and the other is in her final year in University leaving us to rely on fundraising and friends. I feel low especially now that we are getting old and feeble to fend for my family."

"The challenge that I am currently facing is lack of money due to a medical condition that has affected me for over ten years. The condition affected my right hand side of the body and rendered it none functional. This led to loss of my job a driver. I started moving from hospital to another for medical attention but not successful. Consequently I spent all the resources that that I had saved for many years. This has hindered me to have enough capital to start a shop that will earn me a living as well as catering for my children education."

"The challenge that I am currently facing is lack of money to cater for all our basic needs. I am a house wife depending on my husband who works at food kiosk. He earns a salary of KES 3000 which is too little to address all the basic necessities for the a family of 3 Members. In a day I require KES 200 to be able to feed on three meals. Due to this, it has been difficult to live a better life whereby I am feeding well. Sometimes, I am forced to borrow food from neighbors which is embarrassing."

"Receiving this money means adding more capital to my business. I am currently running a business of selling maize flour in the village. The business has a capital of KES 20000. I earn a profit of KES 2000 every week. I will use KES 70000 to add a stock to my business. This will boost my profit to approximately KES 5000 a week. I will use KES 40000 to pay school fees for my son who is in college. He has a balance of KES.60000."

"Two years ago I had chest complications which progressed to an extent that I was unable to farm. Since then I have been harvesting lower yields because I had to hire people to cultivate for me thus insufficient food in my household. When I receive the transfers I intend to use thirty thousand Kenya shillings to purchase oxen for plowing, Ten thousand Kenya shillings to buy beddings, and the balance to buy two bags of maize that will sustain us for some time."

"Receiving this money means a reliable source of income for my household. Currently, I depend on my husband who is a palm wine tapper, and his earnings are as low as KES 500 per month. This income can not fully support all our family expenses. I am planning to spend KES 50000 to start a kiosk that will act as a source of income to my family and I will be assured of getting KES per day. I will further Spend KES 55000 to construct a separate house for my household. This is because I am currently sharing a structure with my co-wife, and this does not give me the privacy that I need."
