"In my opinion, GiveDirectly does well by giving us enough teachings in regards to the Mpesa security. This enlightened most of us considering that a bigger fraction of us are illiterate. As a result, there were no cases of thefts or losses. I do not see any part GiveDirectly failed us."

"In my opinion, GiveDirectly does well to put a smile on every villager's face because nowadays every family can afford a decent meal and clothing which we couldn't afford before. GiveDirectly also did well to send us well-trained officers who advised us well on how to utilize and secure our money accordingly."

"For the longest, I have been buying a litre of milk per day for my family at KES 70, this means out of the KES 300 commission that I earn daily as a motorcycle taxi rider, I have very little or nothing to save after buying food and providing other necessities. My wish has been to buy a dairy cow so that I can get enough milk both for family consumption and for sale but financial inability was the biggest challenge that I have been facing. My goal was to buy a dairy cow and I achieved it by spending KES 23000 to buy a cow. I save the balance and I'm planning to add so more so that I can buy a motorbike."

"Yes, I have a new goal that I did not have which was to buy goats. I had planned to have them in my household which would be of help, especially for my children's education journey. Since they are now in primary schools, I was hoping once they transition to secondary schools, I would have saved enough from the sale of the goats but this was not achievable. However, I am hopeful that very soon I will own them."

"In my opinion, GiveDirectly has brought a lot of changes in our village. For instance, since receipt of the transfers people who didn't have dairy cows right now have bought dairy cows. Those who lived in grass-thatched grass houses are now living in Iron roofed houses. Those who were used to wearing tattered second-hand clothes are now well dressed with the latest fashion. I don't see any issue that GiveDirectly doesn't do well because wherever I go everyone is showering praises on GiveDirectly officers that they are disciplined."

"My goal has always been to broaden my sources of income. I would like to invest more in goat farming when I receive this money. Goats do well in this semi arid region compared to cows. The main aim of investing in goat farming is to help me educate my children in future. I have three goats already and my plan is to add 5 more. My budget for this is 25,000 KES. I will then use 15,000 KES to buy a bed and a matress. My matress is old and I do not have a bed. I have never had the privilege of sleeping on a bed."

"I mainly depend on rain to earn income because I am a subsistence farmer as well as a livestock farmer. The recent long dry spells have been a let down. This has led to shortage of food as well as lack on money from selling farm produce. On many occasions we skip meals because of it's scarcity. Being the second wife in a polygamous family, my spouse struggles a lot in providing for us all."
