"In my opinion, Give Directly did well in sending cash directly to the needy. This is a great sign of transparency. In addition, they do not have any form of discrimination while enrolling people in their program. On the other hand, I would not say that there is no area that was not done well."

Joan
received a $468 second payment.
"I was glad to see a lot of transformation in our village after receiving the first and the second transfers. many ensured that they make a lasting change in their households through the construction of new houses and the purchase of livestock. In my opinion, the support that we received in form of cash was the best decision by GiveDirectly. I saw no wrong that was done at all as everyone still wish that the same would be initiated in all villages around."

Joice
received a $468 second payment.
"The cash transfer to every household in our village was of great help in that we managed to invest a lot in the construction, livestock, and subsistence farming that we had been struggling with a lot. The freedom to spend on our choices enabled every individual to address the pain points in their households and ensure that they come to the same level as any other village member. No one complaint then and even at the moment, we are still thankful for the generous support that was well executed by GiveDirectly."

Lily
received a $484 second payment.
"I spent KES 9000 out of my first transfer on the purchase of iron sheets that were useful in the construction of a house for my son who is currently in secondary school. He has been facing lots of challenges moving to his friend's place to sleep whenever he is home and I am now glad that he has his room where he can study with no interference. I also spent part of the remaining amount on the purchase of six roles of barbed wire that I used in fencing all around my compound. I spent a total of KES 32500 on materials and labor and am glad that my farm is now well fenced and restraining livestock has been easier since then. I later spent the remaining KES 11000 on clearing the school fees for my daughter currently in the University."
