"I had a plan to build my house so when I received my fourth transfer, I was able to buy planks, bundles of zinc, nails and other materials for my building project. To be sincere, I don't really know how to thank Give Directly. This program has taken me from no where to somewhere simply means this program has improved my life in so many ways. The issue of feeding my family is no longer a problem for me now. I can now be counted among the people that are building in this village. Give Directly has established my life."

"Special thanks and appreciation goes to Give Directly for this huge opportunity. Had it not been for this Give Directly cash transfer program, my children wouldn't go to school, I wouldn't have established new business and now building my own house in this village wouldn't be possible. I am overwhelmed for this opportunity/ blessings Give Directly has blessed us in this village. Words are inadequate to express thanks to Give Directly. only God will reward both the organisation and it's staff."

"Being a motorcycle ride has not played a big role in achieving my dreams because the income that I was earning averaging to 200 KES was enough to provide my family and save towards investment. My dream has always been starting a business and investing in livestock. I spend 30000 KES to buy goats and KES 23000 KES to open a general shop. I'm happy that my business is picking up well and I'm earning income enough to sustain my family. I'm hopeful that the herd of livestock will multiply and I'll be able to sell them in future to supplement my income."

"I had a lot of hopes when I received the first transfer, and this was heightened when I received the second transfer which enabled me to complete all the projects I had enlisted. I am grateful to GiveDirectly for the unbiased support that ensured everyone rose from the poverty we were wallowing in, to the better standard of living that we are now enjoying. We were taught and given the freedom to spend on all we hoped for and in my opinion, this was the best decision by GiveDirectly. I saw no fault in the whole process but was encouraged to work hard and ensured a distinct transformation from the support I received."

"I am happy that after receiving the first and the second transfer, I had been able to do a lot in that, the money I was given came with the freedom to spend on whatever I needed. Everyone in the village seemed to have made tangible transformation as well and are always thankful that GiveDirectly brought this support. In my opinion, all was done well, and I have no complaints about how the program was run from the start."

"I spend all the transfers to continue building up two bedsitter rentals that I had started with my first transfer. It has so far helped to to finish 90 percent of the project and I'm hopeful that with the little that I had saved from the income that I earn as a mason will help me complete the remaining 10%. I wouldn't have done this if it were not for the transfers and I'm so grateful to GiveDirectly for the financial support."
