"I have been living a life full of worries on how to get money to use in meeting my basic needs. This is because getting some casual work to do is difficult and the milk I have been getting from my cow was not enough for my own consumption after selling some of it. When I received my transfers in the month of June, I was able to deworm my livestock and this has led to an increase in milk production. Because of this, I have been able to earn an income through the sale of milk which I now use to meet my basic needs. Being able to cater for my daily needs without having to go around looking for some work to do is the biggest difference in my daily life."

"I live just across the forest where there is enough pasture for livestock.I have always desired to expand my dairy farming by buying two more cows to add to the two that I have. The milk that I will get from the cows will be a good source of income. The remaining part of the transfers will help me plant animal feeds which will help me feed the cows during the dry season."

"Receiving this money means financial independence to me, something i have always wished to be. I plan to open a stall in the shopping center where i will be selling vegetables and fruits since its a good business opportunity no one has ventured to in my village. My first transfer will act as capital to build the stall and stock it then my second transfer will go to buying a dairy cow and building a bigger iron roofed house since my children have reached an age where they need to have their own room for privacy reasons."

"My typical day involves waking up as early as 6.30 in the morning to milk my two fressian cows, after which i prepare breakfast for my family then head to the shopping center to sell milk before coming back home to feed my herd. Its during this time that i am always happy ensuring my cattle are well fed since its the only source of income i depend on"

"When I receive this money, I will buy livestock. In these are goats, chicken and cows for both raising and as oxen. I will also buy an ox-plough that will help in ploughing the fields. We are currently using hand hoes for this which affects our out puts but with an ox-plough, our outputs will go high of which we shall have enough food for both home consumption and selling. If thers is any balance, I will buy some beddings for adults and children because the ones we have apparently are not good."

"There is really a big difference now that I received transfers from GiveDirectly compared to if I had not received. Many things have changed which I feel they would not have been in existence without the transfers. I would still be suffering from a lot of insufficiencies among them is milk which I was always buying unlike now when I have my own cow. I had a small house but I have managed to construct a large and decent one at the moment."
