"My life is different from how it would have been four months ago in that I have always been able to provide school fees for my children. This has been one of my greatest weakness as a parent because I do not pay their arrears in time. They are always being sent home on a monthly basis which has really affected their performance in school. For them to have a better future and get well-paying jobs, they need to do better in school work. Performance can only improve when they get humble time to study. I failed in this area until I started receiving these transfers from GD. I have been paying for their arrears on a monthly basis which has helped reduce the rate at which they are sent home. Since the beginning of the third term, they have not been sent home because of the arrears."

"I have been using my transfers on paying school fees for my two daughters in Secondary School. I wish to say a big thank you to Give Directly because I now have hope my children will finish school. I have less stress when it comes to school fees payment. Since I started receiving transfers I am also able to buy them school uniform, they are smartly dressed unlike before they use to go to school with uniforms that are old. Thus the biggest difference in my daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer is that I am in a position to pay school fees for my school-going children with no difficulty."

"The cash transfers enabled the payment of school fees. This relieved me from the stress of borrowing money for school fees and medical care. Secondly, the cash transfers changed my social status.
