"The biggest difference in my daily life is that we have boosted our business that we were doing before we received the money. My spouse used to borrow money from friends and relatives to conduct his business of buying cows and selling at the market at a slightly higher price to earn a profit to support our family in meeting the basic needs. This activity was not easy because sometimes there were no profits and sometimes he could not get the money from friends. Lack of capital in any other business can stop the continuity of that project. Sometimes there were losses and my spouse could get a lot of pressure from the relatives who he had borrowed the money from and this was stressing us all as a family. Currently, my spouse is at peace of mind and his business is doing great he no longer gets pressure and all the profits that he gets from the business are not shared among the friends like before. We have started some saving culture to gather for the emergency and school fees for our children. We are so happy because our living standard has changed compared to the previous one that we had."

"My daily source of income comes from selling 5 litres of milk daily produced by my two cows at ksh 30 per litre. I therefore plan to add one more cow that will increase milk surplus meaning i will be able to increase my daily sales thus i won't have much struggles paying school fees for my last born son who will be joining secondary school next year. My second transfer will enable me to fence my compound with barbed wire and wire mesh then initiate poultry project that will supplement the income i usually earn from selling milk."

"The biggest difference in my daily life is that l am now staying in a nice spacious comfortable house that I did not know that I would ever stay in. My children are very happy staying in their new spacious house because they are able to move and operate freely in the house, they are very proud to tell their friends where they are coming from. I have also broken a record in paying school fees in full a mount which I have never did before."

"Receiving this money means I will be able to renovate my house and make it bigger to accommodate the rest of my family. The house that I have is small now that I have many children who are growing. Sharing a house with them is a little tricky. Sometimes I receive visitors but hosting them is a charllage especially when it comes to sleeping in the night. There is a lot of inconvenience. I also hope to buy a cow that will reproduce and support my family in future. I will be able to have milk for my family and some more animals that I can sell off to provide school fees for my children. These should be able to make life easier for me. "

"The cash transfers have enabled the completion of the house. I am very delighted because I have constructed a nice ceiling and plastered the inside walls. Prior to receiving the cash transfers, my house was inhabitable and dusty. The cash transfers have really improved our status in the community. More so, I have been in position to pay all the school fees of my children. Previously, school fees had proved to be a pain in our necks. We had to run around selling food stock to make ends meet."

"When I received my first transfer, I took KES 25000 from it and bought a dairy cow. When it reproduces, my income from the sale of milk will increase. In addition to this, I spent KES 15000 to buy timber to use in building a house for my family. I will use part of my second transfer to start the construction work after purchasing enough building materials. I usually do a business of buying and selling beans at our nearest shopping centers. Due to this, I took KES 5000 from my transfers to boost this business. I am now glad since my daily profits have increased as a result of an increase in my daily sales. I also used KES 5000 to clear school fees arrears for my children so that they would not be sent back home. I used the remaining amount to buy maize flour and other household necessities for my family."

"I bought a dairy cow from my inlaw using part of my first transfer. When it reproduces, I will be able to supply milk to our cooler plant so that I can earn an income. I can also sell the heifers in case of a financial crisis, for instance, paying school fees for my children. Also, I started a poultry keeping project by buying some chicken. I settled on this since the demand for eggs in my locality is always high. I will be using the income from this project to meet our basic needs. I used the remaining amount to buy three sacks of maize flour and decent clothes for my family."
