Describe the biggest difference in your daily life.
My life has improved because this term I have managed to pay schools for my 2 children at once compared to when I paid in instalments. In addition, soon I will own a plot of land after getting my second transfer. In the past, I never owned a plot of land that is why I ended up staying with father even when I had started a family and I'm still with him until I pay off all the amount needed.
Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
The moment I received the transfer, I felt very happy because I got money for paying my children's fees and buying plot of land.
What did you spend your first transfer on?
I have spent my first transfer on paying school fees for my 2 children who are at primary level worth UGX 150,000, bought clothing/household goods ( 2 bed cover, 2 pair of bed sheets and curtains) worth UGX 90,000, paid off a debt worth UGX 100,000, bought food ( 1 bag of maize flour, meat and rice) worth UGX 200,000. There is a balance of 1,160,000 which I'm planning to spend on buying a plot of land.

What does receiving this money mean to you?
Receiving this money means I will be able to renovate my house and make it bigger to accommodate the rest of my family. The house that I have is small now that I have many children who are growing. Sharing a house with them is a little tricky. Sometimes I receive visitors but hosting them is a charllage especially when it comes to sleeping in the night.There is a lot of inconvenience.
I also hope to buy a cow that will reproduce and support my family in future. I will be able to have milk for my family and some more animals that I can sell off to provide school fees for my children.
These should be able to make life easier for me.
What is the happiest part of your day?
I am happiest in the morning when all members of my family wake up healthy. I don't have to budget for medical bills.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
The biggest hardship that I am faced with is lack of land for cultivation. I can not cultivate in order to get food to feed the family.
I do casual labour which is very unreliable to provide for my household. Sometimes I am able to earn five thousand shillings in a day, sometimes ten thousand and in other days nothing. I just work for family survival but I can not save anything.
I have never been able to buy land because I don't have the resources and yet there is need.
