Describe the biggest difference in your daily life.
The biggest difference is that very soon I will be staying in a more comfortable house with the acquisition of electricity. This will act as a security measure within the community. Previously, we had to use small solar powered torches which were not lighting well at night.
Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
I felt so happy when I received a mobile money message from GiveDirectly. I was so relieved at that time because I had very many pending responsibilities at home.
What did you spend your first transfer on?
I spent UGX 500000 for electrical wiring and connection to my house. I spent UGX 150000 to pay school fees. I am planning to spend the balance on purchasing construction materials for a commercial house.

What does receiving this money mean to you?
Recieving this money means I will be able to pay my childrens school fees because the small business we have can not sustain all the family needs.I will also buy buy a plot of land within the centre where I can struggle hard to construct a rental house to help increase our family income.
What is the happiest part of your day?
The happiest part of my day is in the evening when my children have had a meal and non of them. has fallen sick. There I know the day has ended well.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
The biggest hardship I am facing is educating my children in that since they are quiet many, I can not pay school fees for all of them at once.In most cases I can be able to pay for a few and at the same time, others are sent from school due to non- clearance of school fees. This has given me alot of pressure that somtimes life becomes really very hard to manage.
