"After a long day of working on my farm in the scorching sun, I decided to go home, have lunch and relax. It was in that late afternoon when my neighbour appeared at my home to inquire whether I had received cash from GiveDirectly. I grabbed my phone and quickly checked. I didn't see any text at the moment but in less than a minute I had a message tone. On checking, I saw a text showing that I have received cash from Segovia technologies. At that time my wife wasn't at home and I couldn't hold back the good news. I called her and gave her the good news and she was overjoyed. "As our family doesn't have any land, we hope to buy it on $700 and add some to my small business like $40. The remaining $60 will be used in buying foods for my family. I also need livestock but for now, I know that I can approach my friends who have cows or other domestic animals to give one to take care of it and get a profit of fertiliser from it. If my business goes well, I will definitely buy my livestocks."

Therefore, this time around after I received the transfers I went to ahead to use KES 2,700 in acquiring a goat. Afterwards, I ended up using the remaining balance of KES 700 to ensure we had food in the house so I bought three packets of maize flour."

I fees so much at peace now that we have cleared this debt and we are even looking forward to buying our first dairy cow once we receive our second transfer. We could not buy any livestock before since we were living in a very small piece of land that would not allow us make such investments."
