"The biggest hardship I have ever faced in my life is when my seasonal crops in the farm fail because of heavy rains or during times of drought. During this time, I do not have a source of income and therefore, paying fees for my children becomes a challenge for me. I am therefore forced to rely on my neighbors and wellwishers to give me odd jobs so that I can meet my obligations as a parent."

"The biggest hardship I have ever faced in my life is that when I was newly married, we did not have any source of income. My husband and I did not own any cow and could not find any form of employment because we dropped out of school in standard 8 due to lack of fees. Over the years, we have been struggling to ensure that we do not fail as parents becaus we desire to give the best to our children. "

"My greatest achievement is my dairy cow. It is an achievement because I had to work hard in tilling my farm and planting seasonal crops such as maize and beans which I later sold and used the proceeds to buy a cow. I am now able to provide milk for my children and also meet their needs because I sell some milk."

"My life was really difficult at first until my sister came to my rescue. My sister works with a loan lending organisation and she was moved by the toils and tribulations that I was going through in my life. Knowing that I had interest in bodaboda industry, she persuaded me into buying a bodaboda on loan. This bodaboda changed my life a lot. I struggled to pay back the loan in two years and my life has never been the same again. I consider this a great achievement but I equally have plans of purchasing another bodaboda."

"We are blessed as a family with seven children. I always had a desire of giving my family the best I could. With limited resources at my disposal, I struggled tooth and nail to feed my family and give my children the best in terms of education. Today, I am a proud father having educated all my seven children through secondary education and four of them have completed their university education. Nothing gives me sense of satisfaction and pride than this. I am a really proud father."
