Dama
received a $24 thirteenth payment.
"I have been using most of the monthly transfers to pay my children's school fees in portions as am not able to raise the whole amount at once due to my low income. This being the final term of the year, I would like to clear their respective balances to avoid carrying forward any debts into next year.
Once this has been achieved, I can then focus on completing a project I have been working on for a while. I have been planning to construct a separate house so that my children who are now grown enough can have a separate room to sleep for more privacy. We are all currently sharing the small house I own and it gets more uncomfortable each day especially as my male child gets older.
I have been purchasing the required materials in bits, but after clearing my children's fees for the term, I will have more flexibility with the transfers to buy the rest of the materials and finally complete this project.
This will offer us all more privacy and comfort as a family."

Karembo
received a $190 second payment.
"My biggest dream revolves around purchasing a piece of land where I can finally construct a place to call home. Since parting ways with my husband, the discomfort of residing at my parents' house has grown palpable. I've managed to put aside $150 from the second transfer, marking a step toward my aspiration. Presently, I work as a casual laborer, determined to strengthen my savings to $300. This financial milestone will propel me further toward realizing my long-held ambitions, offering me the chance to turn my dream plans into a tangible reality."

Kadzo
received a $367 second payment.
"In my perspective, distributing the money into two phases of transfer was another game changer. This allowed anyone who was caught by surprise by the first transfer to restructure themselves on how to utilize the second transfer wisely. I'm pleased with what I have done at an individual level, but I'm much more pleased when I consider what each person has accomplished. In my perspective, there is nothing wrong with the way GiveDirectly works."

Florence
received a $367 second payment.
"One thing that grabbed my interest was how you ensured that everyone received equal amounts without discrimination. We felt secure and confident in our planning since we knew the funds would come in two installments. Knowing that the transfers were a guarantee that we could clear any debts meant that we could even borrow money if required. I am grateful for the opportunities they have provided for us, as well as the improvements they have brought to our area."

"GiveDirectly is a distinct and distinctive organization. In the present economic conditions, it is difficult to receive $1100 for free within three months, and I have never heard of any other charitable organization accomplishing the same. Everyone in the village is happy that you came just in time because the present hunger has made living difficult. We no longer eat to satiate our stomachs, but thanks to GiveDirectly, we can at least periodically afford healthy food. Neither I nor anybody I know has ever expressed dissatisfaction with the organization or the task it is carrying out."

Sinema
received a $367 second payment.
"In my perspective, GiveDirectly successfully avoids biases during the enrollment approach. All of its field employees are attentive and patient with every one of us throughout the door-to-door visitation. There is never any partiality involved in the registration process at all. As a result, many community members, especially the less fortunate, are taken into account for its financial help. I have not yet noticed any shortcomings in what GiveDirectly accomplishes."

Jumaa
received a $24 eighteenth payment.
"I'm planning to expanding my poultry farm to accommodate more than 100 chicken for sale. With this goal in mind, I'm shifting towards large-scale poultry farming. I am confident in my ability to cater to the market demand, and boost my income. This will bring me financial stability enabling a secure future for my family and also ensures my children's education.
I'm also considering the construction of a more spacious and suitable house to better accommodate my growing family. Our current house was built before our family expanded, necessitating the need for an additional and improved space. Moreover, this upcoming venture will forever serve as a reminder of the transformative impact that GiveDirectly's transfers have had on our life as a family."

Rajab
received a $24 eighteenth payment.
"I hope to buy two dairy cows, to yield around 16 litres of milk every day, which I can sell at $0.8 per litre. I'm settling for two since their maintenance is costly and requires requires more attention. Additionally, I plan to own two male cows for ploughing purposes. Where I will be charging $25 for ploughing one acre of land, in a single day. Alongside these plans, I'm striving to save $5, so as to accumulate $15 by the end of the year so as enable my purchases."

Kang'ombe
received a $24 eighteenth payment.
"I'm optimistic about managing school fees with ease, which would give me so much joy. My plan involves purchasing a $45 goat for resale, then use the proceeds to acquire cows for higher returns to support my children's education.
Currently our living conditions are not up to standard, we lack a proper kitchen. Cooking indoors using charcoal isn't ideal. With a two-roomed house and an exterior kitchen, we'd experience great comfort.
Furthermore, I'm considering venturing into poultry farming for business to boost my income."

Kadzo
received a $24 eighteenth payment.
"I'm currently purchasing construction materials in bits. My children's house is too small, and constructing a more spacious one would be appropriate. With the plan in mind, I have identified pieces of iron sheets that would be needed each costing $13.
My other goal is to ensure my children's school fees is paid without any difficulties. There was a period when my eldest daughter couldn't attend school for two months due lack of fees, and I am determined to prevent a similar situation from occurring again to any of my children."
