"I am a fruit vendor along the streets. I am happy this can make me at least KES 500 a day. With the profits, I am able to buy more stock and also cater for my basic needs like paying house rent, which back then, I could stay for months without settling due to inadequate finances. I am glad I can also plan for my finances to meet all my basic needs, something that could not happen before."

"Receiving this money means that I will be in position to buy oxen and ox-plough for ploughing. I currently rely on people's oxen for ploughing and it has affected my planting season since getting them depends on some ones will. The amount and quality of crop produce that I get is very little every year to support my needs. Therefore by owing my own oxen , I will be able to carry out earlier planting hence increase in production. This increased production will make me independent and sustainable in my family."

"Owning additional acres of farm land is what receiving this money means to me. When I acquire this additional land, I will cultivate and when I harvest, I will sell part of the crops in order to educate my children. This will enable them have a brighter future because they will be able to get better paying jobs which will enable them to support me too. Currently, The land I own is not enough to support my humble household. "

"Owning the house is the biggest difference in my daily life. Previously I used to sleep under a small grass-thatched muddy hut which was ever leaking whenever it could rain. This was really hectic especially for my child whenever she wanted to study at night it was difficult for her since the house was not spacious. we are now happy and safer because we are sleeping under a semi-permanent iron-roofed house which is also well plastered. My child can now study comfortably without any difficulties which are giving me hope for her bright future."
