"Receiving this money means I will buy oxen in order to support my household in ploughing. I will be able to culitivate in large pieces of land which in turn will lead to high/ bumper harvest. I will eat some within the household and the balance can be sold in order to meet other household needs like medication and purchasing non locally available food stuffs like salt, meat, fish, to mention. Currently, I dig with a hand hoe, that is quite tedious and I can not cultivate in large pieces of land."

"The biggest hardship I face in my life is lack of a better house to live in. The house I stay in is semi permanent, not plastered and not smeared which makes us fall sick often because it is dusty and affects our respiratory system. I try to smear it with cowdung but it needs frequent smearing which makes it tedious. "

"Receiving this money means I will pay school fees for my children. When my children complete school, they will get well paying jobs that will enable them to support us at our old age. We currently get out school fees through the sale of agricultural produce which is unpredictable. In case of any balance, I will buy oxen that will support us in ploughing land. This Will improve on the timing for planting and yields. We shall sell some for paying school fees and eat some. We hire oxen for animal traction currently which makes the cost of production high."

"The biggest difference in my life is that there's reduced poverty in my household because I have a business that generates daily income. The money we make from our business caters for our well being in terms of sickness, feeding among others. In the past, life was very difficult because I did not have any income generating activity that could support my family therefore I solely depended on casual labour in order to get money."
