"Lack of a stable source of income is what has been my biggest hardship. I used to depend on farming mainly, Recently farming has not been doing well due to long dry spells. My spouse is unemployed and he depends on motorcycle Rider jobs when called in, therefore our income is not enough to fully cater for our needs which include buying food and educating the children."

"I want to build a better and bigger kitchen in my homestead. The one we currently use is small and it rains inside making it difficult to cook there on rainy seasons. Receiving this money will mean a lot to me, because I will be able to build a bigger iron roofed kitchen amounting to $300 that will serve as an extra room for when we have guests. The remaining transfer will be used as follows: $300 for a dairy cow,$200 for food and clothing and $100 as savings."

"With this transfer I have finally been able to fix my house. This is something I could not do before because I am poor and too old to find work. I have been helped by these transfers a great deal. My children were wearing rags but now I can afford to buy them shorts. I was unable to feed my family, which is something I can now do. I am very grateful to GD for changing my life."
