Benard
received a $485 second payment.
"I spent part of the money I received from GiveDirectly on purchasing public address systems. This was always my dream. Before this I was employed by a friend who had his public address system. I build a better house for my family. This is so spacious and can host all my family members comfortably. I bought a heifer. I found this as an investment since I will be able to get enough milk for my family and also sell the extra milk to earn an income. I am so grateful for the support because GiveDirectly has changed our living standard."

"I am an operation patient and because of that I don't do anymore hardwork. I lay baskets in the St. Paul River to catch crayfish. I wake up very early, daily, to go to the river and set my baskets. I have to lay many baskets so that I can catch more crayfish and sell it during the weekend. I am always in the water, from morning to evening. It is from the sale of the crayfish that I sponsor my children in school.
When I get this transfer, I will use it to send my children to school and my burden to wake up early and get in the river will reduce. If the money will be much, after paying my children's school fees, I will give the remaining amount to my wife to start a business, which will also reduce my burden as it relates to providing food for my family."

"If I am successful to receive the transfer, I will send my children to school. Although they are going to school, but there is no permanent source Besides, Monrovia schools are expensive. And you can't have your children living with people and you can help with fees for school. I will also renovate my house if the money is more. My house is now old. When it rains, the zinc leaks. As such, I want to renovate it so it will be better than this."

"If I am successful to get the money, I will do fish business. I will go to Monrovia by fish or go to the beach in Bomi here, buy fish and come sell it here.
I decided to sell fish because that is the business I know about since I knew myself as mature person. So I will not want to leave it and do another business I don't have idea on.
I know with business, I will be able to continue to support my family than just putting it in other things that I will not continue to be earning from.
Also if the money is enough, I will build my own house."
