Nzingo
received a $27 eighteenth payment.
"My family, consisting of two other members, depends heavily on farming. Recent adverse weather conditions have compelled us to purchase food from the store. Looking ahead, my goal is to allocate a significant portion of my transfers towards ensuring an ample food supply for my family. Additionally, I intend to acquire a goat as a contingency measure for future emergencies where quick cash may be necessary. I am grateful for the financial assistance from these transfers, which has significantly improved the quality of life for me and my family."

Karisa
received a $27 twenty-second payment.
"I currently have three goats, all purchased with money from Give Directly. The prices of goats have skyrocketed, making it impossible to purchase one with a month's transfer. I now want to purchase hens, which are much cheaper. Once the hens multiply, I will sell them and use the money to purchase more goats. This strategy will help me accumulate a lot of livestock that will help raise money whenever needed in the future. I am very appreciative of the financial transfers."

Kenga
received a $27 twenty-second payment.
"My greatest accomplishment in the coming year and beyond is to invest my subsequent transfers in purchasing goats. Once the goats multiply and the herd grows in number, I will have something to depend on even after the financial aid comes to an end. Besides purchasing goats, I plan to visit a hospital for a check-up. This will ensure my health improves, reducing the risk of frequently contracting diseases. I am happy with the financial support from Give Directly."

Kadzo
received a $27 twenty-second payment.
"My accomplishment from July to December this year is to ensure that I save enough money and buy the necessary materials required to repair my house, which is currently in a dilapidated state. The savings group I joined will help me save towards attaining this goal. Besides repairing and expanding the house, I also want to purchase new beddings: a comfortable mattress and a wooden bed, which will ensure my comfort as I sleep. I am very happy and content with the financial support from Give Directly."

Charo
received a $27 twenty-sixth payment.
"My next course of action in the coming year and beyond is to purchase hens. The hens multiply quickly, and once they do, I will sell them and use the money to purchase more goats. This plan ensures that even after the financial aid comes to an end, I will have something to fall back on in case I need money. I really appreciate the financial support I have received thus far."

Sammy
received a $27 twenty-fifth payment.
"I work as a mechanic in Mombasa where I earn between $2 to $5. I use this money to try and settle my rent, buy food and take care of my wife and mother. I do not make much from my work. This means I need to think about how best I can raise more money to take care of my family. I have had plans of rearing animals as a way of increasing my income. I have $15 goats and about $20 chicken. This come in handy as they can be sold to to make some extra cash for my family. I plan tho increase this animals by buying more to also allow them to breed and reproduce even more animals to ensure the success of this business."

Sidi
received a $27 twenty-fifth payment.
"I had six goats the last time we spoke, however I lost one to a disease that affected our entire area and sold another to pay school fees and feed the children since my family at the time was starving. I still aim at building the numbers of animals I have. The last two purchases have my goats up to 6 again and the two chicken has 11 chicks. I believe with this trend their is a very high likelihood I will have 10 goats by this time next year. This will allow us to continue working on animal rearing as an alter native source of income to charcoal burning that we currently depend on."

"I have started a small animal farm. I now have chicken, sheep and Goats. I have 7 goats , 3 sheep and 12 chicken. My goats have had children as well as the chicken. This is the plan for me. I have a young child of two years, she is yet to start school but I know I will need cash when she does, so my plan is to ensure that I have a big herd that can allow me to sell animals to ensure she gets into school and finishes her education even when the Givediretly program comes to an end."
