Mercy

"I am very grateful for the support that uplifted the lives of the people in our community. It has uplifted my life tremendously because I was able to achieve my dream of buying a dairy cow which would earn us extra income. Throughout my interaction with the program, I did not experience any loophole."

Another sad thing is that our daddy died 5th July 2020 of an Asthma attack while he had gone to pay a visit to the very elderly sister but failed to meet her and this led to the arise of the Asthma attack."

Sidi
received a $436 second payment.
"I have wanted to raise livestock since the day I got married. We never owned even one goat as a family, which worried me. I got two goats and a cow with the transfer. I am hopeful that they will start to grow in number over the upcoming year it will be a step in the right direction. My family will consequently experience an increase in the level of our assets. It will help my family supplement their meager income. Currently, my husband and I do not have a steady source of income; he works as a casual worker, and I am a peasant farmer. I will be relieved of the pressure of undertaking strenuous work to make a living."

Perris
received a $436 second payment.
"We appreciate the changes in our lives. Most of us were living from hand to mouth and had little hope for the future. Giving us unrestricted cash was a good idea, and the majority of us now have investments. The personnel is held to high standards of professionalism and discipline. Nothing they are doing is incorrect, and I would like to see them keep up the fantastic work."

"We don't have a consistent household income, thus it has been difficult to meet our needs. I intend to open a roadside food stand to help my spouse with our household necessities and stop this. Food is typically in high demand, increasing its profitability. Not only would this increase our household income, but it will also make me independent."

Stellar
received a $436 second payment.
"I believe Give Directly had a terrific concept when they decided to give us cash without any conditions. I have seen many changes in the village, from more stable financial situations brought on by investments in businesses to improved housing. I have to acknowledge that thanks to these transfers, my life has been better. On the other hand, the organization is doing everything properly, therefore I would encourage them to keep up the good work."

"I have a such a big family of nine members; five children and three grandchildren. Out of the five children, one is a daughter who was married but separated with her husband and now she's here with her three children. Feeding them is a big problem mainly because I do not have a big income that can pay school fees for the rest of my children and still buy food regularly. I work as a cook in a nearby high school earning $75 monthly, and additional $25 from shared revenues collected from particular rental units that our husband left for his three wives. Again because of the big number of people in my house, we use 120 litres of water daily and this costs a total of $3."
