"A lot has changed since GiveDirectly started its program in the village. Many people lived in old structures with mud walls and grass roofs before the transfers, this is no longer the case since many repaired their old houses with new iron sheets, many took their children to colleges, and many bought more cattle hence the improved relationship among households and village members. The villagers currently look smarter since many started to embrace fashion. I am glad that we now have electricity because of GiveDirectly something that made my 10 children's performance in class improve since they can do night studies and homework without the struggle of using an old light chimney which wasn't environmentally friendly. We are also happy that the process was fair and transparent since GiveDirectly did use political intermediaries in giving out unconditional transfers, it was direct cash transfers. However, GiveDirectly should also try not to use chiefs' opinions in selecting people since some fail to provide names of those who have bought lands in the village and hence became part of the village. GiveDirectly should also consider checking the phones being provided to the villagers since it seems most of the villagers experiences challenges with their since they are short term-lived, we sometimes feel that the phones are only given to receive the transfers after that they get spoilt."

"RE "Givedirectly money came in time for my family and I, because i received givedirectly money like today and the next day i received a call from my children in Zwedru that if i don't go my son will die, that was how i had to run there right away and all thanks to God he is coming on much better now. Right now I still have majority of my money because i desire to build a new and decent house for my household. Have a decent house gives you respect in the community that's why changing my house is a priority for me and my husband."
