"I  wish to purely raise livestock as a source of income. These will help me raise funds in the future to support the needs of my family without having to rely on my son. I would be happy if by the end of the year, I would have bought 10 more chickens and four more goats to expand my herd. I trust future cash transfers to help me accomplish this goal. "

"Built during the 1980s, my house has become very old with a corroded and rusty roof that lets in water when it rains. Moving forward, I plan to start replacing the roof, before renovating the walls. I wish to have fully installed a new roof by the end of the year. I believe that the cash transfers will allow me to save enough to fulfill this goal by then. "

"This year, my primary goal is to focus on paying my school fees through monthly transfers. As a result, my mother will be relieved of the burden of raising my school fees. As a result, I will have plenty of time in school to concentrate on my studies. Because I will have some money left over after the monthly school fee payment from the transfer, I plan to give my mother $10 each month to spend on food. Life is currently unbearable in our area, and those without a source of income suffer the most as a result of the widespread famine."

"My children are all grown up, and none are currently enrolled in school. As a result, I do not have to spend a lot of money on school-related expenses. My primary goal now that I am older is to raise livestock (goats). I currently have six goats, but I plan to purchase one every month. I am hopeful that I will have a large herd, which will contribute to my wealth accumulation. Because goats are highly valued in our society, the venture will help improve my social standing in our society."

"The main challenge I am facing is that I don't have land to cultivate. When the agricultural season come I have to find someone who can give me land with the conditions that I will cultivate, use my own inputs like seeds and manure, and at the end we will share the production. Therefore, you understand that compared to the efforts I have put in those activities the yield is not sufficient, reason why I want to have my own land so that I can have enough production from it. The other challenge is that we can't eat the kind of food we want, we often eat beans and cassava or yams because they are affordable yet my kids want some expensive food we can't afford like meat and rice and it affects me as I am always wish to have money so that I can buy for them the food they want. Sometimes I tell myself that when will get money, I will give them what they want even if they can eat them once and feel satisfied, it will be enough for me."

"I have always desired to be in a position to rear livestock and have my own business, but due to to financial difficulties, I had never been privileged to do so, so in the near future, I plans to buy livestock(goats) and chicken so that I could rear them at home and be able to sell whenever I would be in need of finances. I also want to start a green groceries business, and with the business proceeds, I would be in a position to cater for my needs with ease. I will ensure that I subject my monthly transfers to buying one item at a time so that after a certain period of time, I would have everything in place."

"My current house is in disrepair. If it begins to rain, it may collapse because a portion of its roofing has been blown away by the wind. As a result, with my 2023 monthly transfers, I intend to build not only a new but also a spacious house. I plan to use some of my monthly transfers to purchase building materials such as round poles and iron sheets in bits in preparation for building a new house. It will be beneficial to me. Lastly, I shall be spending some transfers on paying school fees for my six school-going children. I long to see them succeed in their academic pursuit."

"Our greatest challenge is having a small house, we have a big family of 9 and our house only have 2 rooms, all of our children have to share the same room boys and girls and we don't have a kitchen, we cook in our own room and this situation is very uncomfortable to live with and we have struggle with it for a long time. We don't have enough land to cultivate. We have to do casual labour daily to be able to provide for our family and be able to raise money to rent a small land to cultivate. Our children are not able to have school uniform and other materials, which make some of them drop out because of that uncomfortability in their education, and those who are still in school have to struggle a lot."
