"Receiving this money means that I will buy oxen and ox-plough for ploughing. Iam currently relying on borrowed labour for cultivation purposes and there are always delays hence I plant at later stages of the season. This makes me realise low crop harvests which can not sustain the households needs. Owning oxen and ox-plough , I will be able to practice earlier cropping hence may lead to better harvests. If there is improvement in crop production, my house will no go have food shortages."

"The biggest hardship I face is lack of oxen and ox-plough to enhence easy and better cultivation. I hire a Labour every season and it's not cost effective as compared to what is realised after harvesting. This has casused unending poverty at my household since what is realise from crop production can not sustain my family members."

"The biggest hardship I face is lack of enough money to enable me fulfill my plans. I have felt like owning oxen and ox-plough to faciltate large scale crop cultivation for increased production. This has never been possible due to lack of money so I realise little crop produce each season. This can not support my family needs like paying school fees timely, and providing basic basic requirements."

"The hardship I have faced is lack of oxen to plough my own land. During every planting season, I only get an opportunity to plough my land late in the season since oxen are not easily available for hire early in the season. This inturn affects my crop production hence famine in a long run "

"For the past seven years,I have not had a good maize harvest.Maize is our staple food and it is what my family depends on.There has been maize crop disease that has wiped out the crop year in year out. This has exposed my young children to hunger. To avoid this,I have had to do casual jobs in people's farms .However much I try,the money I earn is never enough to feed my family of six. This is the biggest hardship I have faced."

"Subsistence farming is my only source of income but I do not produce enough. This is because I lack better farming equipment and I do not have enough money to hire, hence I only till 0.5 acres. This portion produces food that can last only for 3 months. I can simply say I am food insecure. To curb this situation, I will purchase a pair of oxen and an ox plough. This project has been my biggest ambition for a very long time. It will help me scale up farming and also generate income whenever I hire them at a fee."

"The thing that has changed my life most is seeing that I managed to treat my wife and she is now health and has no more complains about her health. She has gone back to operate normally with all her chores. Before recieving this money, all I was remaining to do was sell off or mortgage my farm land to raise money to treat my wife because the treatment was really expensive. "

"My life is different now in that I was able to get back my farm land that I will now largely cultivate on without being snared at. Prior to getting this transfer, I only had a small part to farm and my family in most cases was stuck by famine. In addition to this, I am happy that I have also managed to uplift the standard of my living because I was able to buy some household items (Solar, bed, mattress, utensils among others)that I did not have. Before getting this money, I used to get to an extent of begging utensils, chairs among other things from the neighbourhood."
