"I suffered from born marrow tuberculosis for 11 years. This condition really drained our financial resources as I ended up using all my savings. I even sold all my livestock which included 3 cows and 5 goats. Since then I have never been able to fall back to shape and it is such a struggle to provide for my family. This forced my wife to look for a job and left our very young children under my care. All this suffering is as a result of financial constraint which is my biggest hardship."

"I did a course in dress making and I already have a sewing machine but I have not been able to make much out of it because of lack of capital. This money will come as a big boost since I will be able to buy clothing material that will help me design dresses and school uniform for sale. This will be a good source of income for me here in the village. 100 USD will set me off well. I will then use part of the transfer to buy 2 goats each at 40 USD and two oxen to help me plough land and get money within my village."

"My husband was involved in a grisly road accident in 2011 that left him half dead. This forced him to spend 6 months in the hospital, a condition that drained all our financial resources. I even sold over 20 goats to finance the medical bill and it wasn't sufficient and we resorted to fund raising. A year later, his leg which was badly injured by then was amputated. This worsened the situation as he couldn't actively engage in casual jobs and I had already lost my business. Since then, we have never recovered and my family suffers financial constraint which is our biggest hardship."

"I used this portion of money in building a house for myself. I decided to build a house because the one I was in was not in a good condition. The house I was in previously was made from grass and at times you find snakes in it. I could have been attacked by snakes that means my family's life could have been at risk. I also bought a cow and a goat, I will sell them in future if they multiply and pay my bills with the cash."

"My life is different because, through the transfers, I managed to purchase some livestock which includes, a dairy cow and goats. I have been aspiring to own them for so many years but I could not afford becasue of my low income. I am optimistic that I will benefit a lot through them and this will empower me to send all my children to school without straining like before. In addition to that, I now sleep in some nice beddings, and I am so comfortable. At least I will no longer complain about the backaches."

"I spent part of buying some building materials such as iron sheets, nails, timber, and building poles. This was for the construction of a new house for my children. Previously they used to shelter at their grandmother's house since mine was not spacious. I also bought some beddings which include a new wooden bed, mattress, and bedsheets. Previously we have been using the old traditional bed. Later on, I bought some goats as my living assets. With the remaining amount of money, I bought enough foodstuffs for my family."
