Johana
received a $547 initial payment.
"The biggest difference in my life is that I am now building a new house. The one I have been living in had been debilitated - run down walls , leaking roof - and it was unbearable during raining seasons. I even had to keep shifting in the house to a better spot to avoid being rained on. There were times that water would even come out as fissures from the cracked floor because we live in a terrain that is susceptible to water flowing from the ground. During those times we would just try to drain the water out. My life is so much better because of Give Directly. I am now happy and stress-free. I can even see a cow in my compound and I feel happy. I feel like a human being too and I am grateful."
