"Receiving this money means that we'd be able to finish up improving our house. As you've observed our house is still incomplete int terms of glasses for windows, cement for the floor and furniture such as beds and mattresses. We'd buy these items because we've always wanted a comfortable place to sleep and call home and we believe this would be a perfect opportunity for us to finally do that. The other part of the funds would be directed at buying food and livestock. We plan on buying 5 bags of maize for food so that we're sustained until next harvesting season. For livestock we plan on buying 6 goats so that in future after we are done receiving funds we'd sell the goats and buy maize for food for our family. We are unable to put prices om these items for we don't know the current market price of these commodities with the economic status as the cost of living keep rising. Nonetheless, the purchasing of these products will be done a day after receiving the funds."

"All four of us—my husband, my two children, and I—happily live together as a family. Before the transfer, I was unemployed, while my husband primarily relied on doing a casual job at the quarry site for income. His low pay caused us to accrue debts that we could not pay off. I made paying off my debt of $76 for food I had taken for the family a priority. In addition, I spent $140 on four goats. Finally, I spent $40 on food and part of the college enrollment fee. We are very grateful, and I am happy that it will allow me to continue my study in hospitality and hotel management."

"I have wanted to raise livestock since the day I got married. We never owned even one goat as a family, which worried me. I got two goats and a cow with the transfer. I am hopeful that they will start to grow in number over the upcoming year it will be a step in the right direction. My family will consequently experience an increase in the level of our assets. It will help my family supplement their meager income. Currently, my husband and I do not have a steady source of income; he works as a casual worker, and I am a peasant farmer. I will be relieved of the pressure of undertaking strenuous work to make a living."

"We now have two more goats, in addition to the two I already purchased. To help my spouse take care of our home requirements, I want to open a grocery store. I will allow the goats time to procreate more, and once there are six of them, I will sell one of them to raise money. I am hopeful that the business's profits will enable us to raise our level of living."

"For an investment purpose, I spent $190  to purchase four goats to be raised. If I ever find myself in need of money, I will sell part of the goats. We rely on my husband's occasional work because we do not have a consistent source of income, so it has been difficult to meet our necessities. Since he does not earn much from it, our kids' school clothes were worn out and they owed back payments to the school. I spent $50 using the transfers to pay off the debt and get them new clothes for school. I still have $60 in savings, spent $17 on a new mattress to replace the old one, and spent the remaining $21 on enough food to feed our family for some period."

"After using the first transfer to successfully build a new stable, respectable home, we agreed with my spouse to utilize some of our second transfer to pay off the significant school fee arrears that our children owed the school. Our four primary school-aged children ended up owing the school $250 since we were unable to pay their tuition because my spouse who was the sole breadwinner was not lucky to secure job for quite sometime. Thank God, through the second transfer we managed to clear the arrears. Additionally, we spent $80 on two goats with the intention of raising them and eventually selling some of them to raise our household income. I used $120 to start a fish-selling business. We have seen a slight improvement in our standard of living since then, and the business is steadily coming up. We used to struggle to buy breakfast, so I'm delighted we can now afford a full day's worth of food and even put aside $2 per day. We used the remaining $80 to buy food for our family. We appreciate the help because without it, we could not have accomplished what we have so far."

"My greatest achievement in life is to see my five children living a better life in future. I personally dropped out of school at an early age due to lack of school fees. The struggles I have gone through has made me enroll three of them in boarding secondary schools. We keep livestock ( goats and cows) inorder to meet all their basic needs including good education but because of unpredictable weather patterns and lack of enough pasture, it fetches low prices. We have $300 school fees in arrears and they are sent home once in a month. This affects there performance as they spend most of their time at home. I will be happy when I receive the transfers because it will help pay the school fees they will comfortably study and improve on their performance. The rest of the money I will invest in poultry keeping for income sustainability."

"From the first transfer, I started constructing a two-room house because the one I had was very small and congested. Since I used the transfer for other things as well, I was unable to complete the construction. When I got the second one, I prioritized completing the house. I bought 24 pieces of iron sheets for $228 and the roofing timbers for $105 and the contractor's labor charge amounted to $140. As of now, the house is complete and I am happy for living in a decent, spacious, iron sheet-roofed house. In addition to this, I bought a goat for $30 and used the remaining amount for the family's upkeep"

"After utilizing the second transfer, I developed a goal that I would like to accomplish before the first quarter of next year elapses. My desire has been investing in livestock farming specifically goats because they withstand the harsh climatic condition of our area. Not only withstanding drought but also they are cheap to purchase and maintain as well as easily convertible to monetary value due to their ready markets."

"I have a family of three and we are living in a three-room house with mud walls and an earthen floor. The roof is an iron sheet. The house has dust and it is semi-permanent. Living in a semi-permanent house is worrying me everyday. I will use $ 500 to change my house from muddy to a permanent house. This money will cater for 20 bags of cement, sand, water, and labor. I will also use $ 300 to buy 6 goats as an investment. My grandchild who is at primary school will use this investment as school fees when he joins the secondary school. He is now in class seven. I am happy for the program."
