"Receiving this money means that i will be able to improve poultry farming by adding more chicken, building a more advanced poultry unit as well as fencing all around my compound with wire mesh in order to restrict the poultry from going to my neighbours' farms to destroy crops hence no more conflict with my neighbours. My second transfer will enable me to add one dairy cow for milking in order to boost the daily income i normally earn from selling 4litres of milk daily produced by my cow at ksh27 per day "

"It's one year now since I started a family and settling has taken a lot of time. Now that I am settled I need to expand my farming activities.Livestock farming seems a good venture for me.The money that I will receive will make me start off by buying one dairy cow which will cost me approximately Ksh 35,000.The milk will not only save me the cost of buying milk for consumption but also earn me some money through sale of the milk.I will also expand my poultry unit.I have only six chicken and my target is adding that number to 40.This means that I also have to do construction of the structures required."

"I wouldn't say that there is much difference in my daily life currently. I invested the transfers in poultry rearing, started off well and the numbers increased to 20 chicken. Unfortunately, they all succumbed to poultry disease outbreak leaving me with none. I haven't lost hope yet. I'm still planning to use the coming transfers to start rearing poultry again."

My husband is so relied and happy that he has even offered to help me with the cost of feeding the chickens. I also have managed to start a saving habit. I save in a merry go round group and will one day be able to purchase a dairy cow. |thse tow steps in my life have changed it for the better."

"I am planning to start poultry farming. I feel its a business that most people have not ventured into therefore possibility of it flourishing is very high. Therefore for the next four months, I will be saving the monthly transfers that I normally receive from Give Directly with the intention of buying building materials for constructing a poultry house. Through the sale of eggs and chicken, I know I will be able to meet most of my set goals."
