Do you have any new or additional goals for your life for the next four months?
My new goal is to plaster my house. I would not want to build another house again hence I plan to plaster it to make it more stable to serve me for long. I fear if I do not plaster it, very soon the strong winds in my area will weaken it and it will collapse.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer.
GD transfers have transformed my life in a way I did not know could happen. In my marriage life, I used to depend on my husband to provide for most of the family's needs. He used to send me money every month just like GD and at that time, I did not use to work hard. Since he died, I have been involved in hard labor to earn a living until GD came to my life. It reminded me of my late husband. Life is better with the transfers because I do not struggle anymore to make ends meet.
How do you expect your life to change in the next six months?
In the next six months, I want to improve my harvest by planting using modern farm inputs such as hybrid seed and fertilizers. I am planning to use part of my transfers to buy the farm inputs which I know will help me get better harvest than the 3 sacks I have been getting every month. When I have enough harvest, I will have enough food for my family and even sell the rest to raise income for other family needs.

How is your life currently different from how it was four months ago?
It has always been my dream to start rearing livestock on my farm. It was just unfortunate that since my husband died about eight years ago, I have not been able to actualize this dream considering that I only rely on the meager income from farming to gather for my basic needs. Currently, the biggest difference in my daily life is that I have been able to save part of the transfer through a merry go round and supplemented the sales from my farm produce and bought a paged dairy cow. The milk produced by this cow shall double up my source of income after selling some of the surplus produced.
Do you have any new or additional goals for your life for the next four months?
My new goal in the next four months is to continue saving money through the merry go round that I have been taking part in within the village. I intend to use these savings to buy a solar lantern for lighting at night and bring an end to the costly fuel that I normally use as a source of light.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer.
I harvested very little yields from my farm recently and this forced me to borrow from my neighbors. This is because I could not employ modern farming methods on my farm nor plant hybrid seeds with fertilizers. I could not do this considering that I depend on meager income that is hardly enough to sustain my family. Today, the passion of being a successful farmer has been rejuvenated considering that within a span of three months, I have been able to buy the required farm inputs such as fertilizers and save enough money to pay casual laborers on my farm. This has enabled me to cultivate my farm in time and ensure that I have a maximum yield on my farm. The biggest difference in my daily life in the last four months is that this harvesting season I got nine bags of maize contrary to last year when I had only one bag.
How do you expect your life to change in the next six months?
I expect that in the next six months I shall have invested more time and resources to invest more time and resources in raising livestock and chicken in small scall. In envision making more income through selling their by-products such as milk and eggs. With, the doubled income I shall have ease in meeting most of my family's needs. At the same time, enrolled in two more saving table banking groups because I have learnt the importance of saving.

I am hopeful to get a good harvest at the end of this season because I bought hybrid seeds and worked on my farm on time when the rain shall be enough and promising.
Do you have any new or additional goals for your life for the next four months?
My new goal in the next four months is to save money in the Merry go round that we started after being GiveDirectly's beneficiaries. With the savings, I will buy decent chairs that my in-laws can seat on when they come to visit. This is because the ones I have now are old and not decent enough which my late husband bought.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer.
I have been engaging in a lot of farming which is what has been feeding my family for a very long time. One thing I like about farming is that you can never go hungry so long as you take good care of your crops. In as much as there has little rain so far, I am glad that the crops are doing quite well and I can always earn something from them with assistance from GiveDirectly transfer. This is the biggest difference in my daily life for the last four months.
How do you expect your life to change in the next six months?
Expect my life to change in the next six months in that I shall have bought new decent sofa set seats which my in-laws will sit on when they come to visit. Achieving this goal will be a fulfilment to me because I have had this dream for a longer time and because of the lack of money it seemed unachievable.
