"I recently started a poultry project I have been saving for over the past few months. The chickens are currently at my friend's place where she also keeps her own because I have not constructed a chicken pen yet. My plan for the next few months is to save enough money to construct a chicken pen so that I can have the poultry within our compound where I can monitor them myself."

"The biggest difference in my daily life is the fact that I was able to venture into poultry farming to help in the generation of income for my family. With the transfers, I was able to buy poultry to jumpstart the business and now it has blossomed to a full-time project which generates income daily and also provides food for the family. We can sell the poultry when there is the need in order to get the income and we also consume eggs and the chicken to nourish us."

"I have a very old grass-thatched kitchen that has cost me a lot in terms of repair from time to time.Grass has become scarce to find and a part of the kitchen has had to be left unrepaired hence during rainy seasons it leaks.I have been thinking of building an entirely new house so that the main house I live in can be turned into a kitchen.Receiving this money will therefore facilitate the purchasing of building materials.I will then use what remains from the transfers to buy a few chicken for rearing"

"For the next four months, I have plans for rearing crossbreed chicken. With these, I'll be earning from both their eggs and from the chicken too. I'll be selling the chicken after brooding thus I'll be earning double. I have therefore started saving my monthly transfers so that by the time four months elapses, I will have accumulated enough money to start this project. I thank Give Directly for empowering me financially because without them I would have not reached this far."

"Receiving this money means that i will be able to actualize my plan of fencing my 1½ Acre piece of land into paddocks so that i will be able to restrict my cattle from grazing all over the compound which will ensure more grass growth hence sufficient feeds and more milk production. On the other hand, i also plan to build a poultry unit to keep my poultry since the 10 chicken i have currently sleep in the kitchen together with my children which has been a health hazard to my children due to the foul smell from poultry waste."

"It is always the desire of every woman to own a good kitchen. I always felt very bad owning an old kitchen which was really in a bad state. It was a grass-thatched house with a leaking roof and the walls had really cracked making it look ugly and unsafe as well. I had resorted to cooking in the open where I had to guard my food jealously against chicken and other external invaders whenever I was cooking. This was really stressful and I was always looking forward to the day that I would be able to build a new kitchen. When I received my transfer from the merry go round, I was able to build a decent kitchen. I am now cooking comfortably in my new kitchen and I cannot complain. I do not have to worry about heavy rains and invasion from animals like I used to do before. This has been the biggest difference in my daily life."
