"In the next six months, I expect to diversify my farming and start poultry farming so that I can earn money through the sale of eggs. chicken needs a smaller space for rearing and little capital to start. Having this would enable me to earn more money to cater to my family needs and pay school fees for my children."

"Receiving this money means that I will be able to offset this year's school fees arrears for my children. One of them joined college recently and another is in secondary school. We were able to pay a part of the fees from our farm proceeds but are yet to clear.Having done that,I will also expand on my poultry farm by first building a better unit and then buying more chicken as a means of investing my transfers"

"I sold my two dairy cattle two weeks ago in order to pay school fees for my children; one in secondary school and another one in the university. Replacing my cattle by buying others is therefore what receiving this money means to me. I will then use the remaining part of my transfer to add more chicken to my poultry since selling poultry products has been a great source of income to me. This will ensure i add more savings in our local savings group hence i will be able to pay school fees for my children with less struggle in future."

"The biggest difference in my daily life in the past four months is the poultry project which I started in our household. This is a promising project which we have seen many starting and running it successfully. Currently, we have 35 improved indigenous chickens after losing around 20 chicks when they were young. Wed decided to adopt deep litter system which is seemingly easy to run and also manageable in small scale. This project to us is bringing a grad deal of a difference to our household since we are set to collect a projected good number of eggs per day which we'll later sell to earn us some income."

"After the completion of the construction of the new house, I have an additional goal to buy start livestock farming. I have a plan to buy a goat and some chickens so that I can start rearing. This goal is coming in since I am planning to purchase a cow in the future. It will act as a saving plan since I would breed the goats and on regeneration I could sell and add up to my savings to purchase a cow."

"Looking back to where I have come from, It has really been a great journey. With the last four months, I have recorded a number of changes which has brought a lot of differences in my life. The chickens I am rearing used to live in the kitchen but at the moment I have completed the construction of a decent chicken coop for them. I never had a cow also which I am now milking. All these have happened within a span of four months."

"The biggest biggest difference in my daily life is the source of income that I have setup from poultry farming. I have been using the money I received from GiveDirectly on buying chickens that are now laying eggs. They are also hatching more chicks that will strengthen the income source. I don't have to rely on my husband on everything especially the daily needs such as food items. I am happy to be able to rely on myself which is timely unlike when I have to ask and wait for long before he pays for the requested items. I am a happy mother now."
