"The house we currently live is in a bad shape. It's made of grass and small for a family of 4. We plan to build a better one at the cost of $500. A 2-roomed house can serve us well as a family. Our children will also have enough place to sleep.
The drought has been persistent and also worsened by the high cost of commodities. We plan to buy food worth $120. That'll support us for between 3-4 months. It means no worry about food and our children getting healthier.
We also need to invest for our future. We need to buy one more cow and 2 goats. It will cost us approximately $250. The livestock will support us well. We can sell to pay school fees or for food during difficult times. It's always wise to have livestock here, since they do well."

"I have been in the project of livestock keeping; chicken goats and I plan to have cows as well. I previously started off with chicken rearing and later sold them to buy goats and I am currently happy that my project is expanding. With my recent transfers, I decided to spend some amount of $10 on adding more chicken to increase the population as I plan to continue with the cycle of buying and selling to acquire other livestock. With the remaining amount, I remitted an amount of $20.70 to my savings group to help me buy a sewing machine in the near future for my tailoring work as $4 was spent on buying clothes for my newborn baby."

"My plan for the transfers is to purchase food and three goats using the first transfers. I intend to use $180 of the transfers to accomplish this. This will ensure that I have enough food to take me for months to come and will also act as an investment. For the second transfers, I intend to purchase a cow at about $300. This will ensure that I have milk in my household which will reduce the burden of buying expensive milk from the shopping center. For the third transfers I intend to complete paying school fees for my four children, two who are ni high school and two who are in college. Give Directly transfers will assist me financially by reducing the heavy burden I have currently."

"The top of my priority is to have a better house. I plan to build a 2-roomed house. The cost of the house will be at least $500. I have relatives who can assist me with wood and poles for the house. Saving me some money. The house will make me happy since I will have a good place. This means my visitors can come at any point.
Due to the drought. I will buy food for my family. To spend approximately $150. Meaning my family has a stable food supply for the next 2 months.
I must also invest in my future. I need to add more goats to boost my stock. I will buy 4 more. At an average of $30 per goat. Goats do well here. To also diversify my livestock. I will buy one cow. It will cost me $200. This means I will have enough milk for domestic use. To prepare tea or sell some for an extra income."

"Mostly we're happy with our livestock. Now, we have 4 cows and 23 goats. It pleases me to see them every day because it means we can at least sell and provide for our family. They do well here, and it's our only hope."

"As I progress to receive my transfer, my goal is to save it in the merry-go-round. That will enable me to get some money that can help me to buy cows. I have been longing to keep livestock, which I could not do due to the financial constraint I have been experiencing. I hope to accomplish early next year because that needs about $300 that I can get based on my savings then."

"My main goal is to be one of the known livestock keepers in the area. With my previous transfers, I have been buying livestock and as of now, I have 5 goats. My plan is still to buy more with the transfers that I will be receiving so that at the end of a certain period, I could trade some of them to get cows and with that, the project would be growing as per my wishes and thus achieving my goals."
