What did you spend your second transfer on?
I spent my second transfer on purchase of a bull at 700,000ugx. I was convinced by my uncle to join a ponzi scheme that promised to give me interest of 20,000ugx on a daily basis for one year where I invested the balance of 800,000ugx but since then i have not got any money, I lost that money to a scam.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
In my opinion Give Directly did well to give me money.
How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My life is different than it would have been if i never received the money because i managed to acquire good beddings, a bull and above all the money rescued my family from last year's hunger.

What did you spend your first transfer on?
I spent my first transfer to buy two doors for my house,two mattreses,two pairs of bed sheets,a pair of gumboots, a table, food stuff and paid school fees for my children.
Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
The moment i saw money had been sent, i was so happy. That was in the morning after seeing people in my vicinity so joyous.Otherwise, i wasn't aware money had been sent.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life.
The biggest difference in my daily life now is that feeding has improved. Before, i would at times sleep without a meal. And also, i've acquired household items i never imagined would one time be in my house.

What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
The biggest hardship am facing is my husband's imprisonment.This has affected my households income since he was the bread winner.For the last seven years I have been stressed up with several questions from my children about their father to the extent that sometimes, I find my children lonely and falling sick because of stress
What is the happiest part of your day?
The happiest part of my day is in the evening after eating a meal.This is the time I share interesting stories with my children.I console them at this time by making them laugh with interesting jokes
What does receiving this money mean to you?
Receiving this money means buying a motorcycle for my household.I intend to hire it out to someone who will use it for "boda boda" bussiness. This motorcycle will provide my household with additional income to buy soap, books and clothes for my children.
