What did you spend your second transfer on?
I spent the transfer on buying a cardboard to store my utensils, I bought cement to plaster my incomplete house. I also bought food for family consumption and rest I used to pay the contractors who plastered my house.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
They are giving out transfers to people hence GD is fulfilling people's dreams in terms of unconditional transfers. People are now able to use the transfers to elevate themselves from poverty. According to me GD does not do anything wrong.
How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
I live in a bigger house which I built using the transfers i received from GD.This to me is a way bigger change in life. I have a herd of cows I bought from these transfers too which acts as a financial security for my family.

What did you spend your first transfer on?
I used a portion of the transfer to buy some chairs because I only had two chairs. Purchased and fixed a metallic door and windows. Bought a young cow. Besides, I also purchased foodstuffs for family consumption.
Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
The moment I received the transfer, I was full of joy. I thanked my God for His good plan for me.

What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
The biggest hardship that I face is depending on the little income that my polygamous husband gets, which is alsways divided equally between my co-wife and I yet we have many children.
What is the happiest part of your day?
The happiest part of my day is in the evening when I get to see my family as we share a meal.
What does receiving this money mean to you?
Receiving this transfers means that my dignity will be restored as I will buy sofa sets and not subject my visitors to sit on jerry cans.
