What did you spend your second transfer on?
I had not withdrawn my first transfer so, I combined it with the second transfer and bought my self a motorbike at 2,500,000 ugx that I am now using to improve my business that I used to carry out using a bicycle. I then used the balance to get a garden for cultivation and maintaining my family.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
In my opinion, GD has done well because it has financially helped most of us in villages to up lift our lifestyles.
How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
If I had not recieved the transfer, I would still be doing my business in a local way riding a bicycle for long distances but now that I got the transfer, I aquired a motorbike that is helping me reach places easily.

Of my first cash transfer I spent 500,000 UGX on clraring my mortgage and the other balance I am planning to construct a house.

The moment when received a mobile money message, I became very. I am still jubilating over that cash transfer.

I am now stress free and happy. Before I used to be worried and stressed over my family issues and business because I was doing badly financially.

What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
The biggest hardship am facing is lack of money.I have been experiencing a heart related sickness for long but, I can not afford to pay for quality medical checkup and treatment.This problem sometimes stops me from taking my sweet potatoes to the market.
What is the happiest part of your day?
The happiest part of my day is in the evening.This is the time when I return back from town after selling sweet potatoes. This is my happiest moment because; I join other members of my household after a whole day out of home.This is also a time when I switch on my radio to listen to music and sports news.
What does receiving this money mean to you?
Receiving this money means buying cattle and building an iron roof house.The house am currently using is very small for all members of my household. This money means therefore, a nice looking iron roof house in my compound.
