How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My life is better because I bought an ox which has enabled me to cultivate on time. In the past, I used to cultivate late because I had to wait untill when the owners complete to plough. Secondly, I now use my bicycle for collecting water. In the past, I had to carry the Jerrycan on my head for a long distance.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
GiveDirectly has done well by enabling me to buy an ox for ploughing my farm and bicycle for collecting water from the well spring. GiveDirectly has not done anything wrong.
What did you spend your second transfer on?
I have spent my second transfer on Livestock ( an ox), bicycle and food ( cassava flour, beans).

Describe the biggest difference in your daily life.
Acquiring the ox that will help me in ploughing and do extensive cultivation and my children being in school and not staying home as before is the greatest different in my daily life.
Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
Having recieved my money, I felt so happy at that moment. This is because I knew that my children would get back to school and not stay home as they had been. Then, I definitely knew that I was going to be able to purchase an ox that will help me in ploughing. Hence extensive commercial and subsistence farming.
What did you spend your first transfer on?
I spent my first transfer to buy a bull (Ugx 1280000). I then used part of my first transfer (Ugx 200000) to pay fees for my children. I then used the balance of my transfer to buy some household items like utensils, bedings, and food.
