How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My life is better now because I constructed an iron roofed house which is currently in use. Besides that, I purchased a new mattress and bedsheet which makes my sleep confortable. Before I got money, I was sleeping on a torn mattress and in a hut that could leak during the rainy season
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
In my opinion, GiveDirectly does well to send me money directly on my phone instead of passing it through some one else . This minimises fraud, the organisation is also realiable. There is nothing wrong with the way they work. How we wish they could continue giving us money.
What did you spend your second transfer on?
I spent my second transfer for buying 14 iron sheets, 6 bags of cement, timber, nails, door and windows for completing the construction of a house that I started with my first transfer. In addition to the above, I bought a solar system, 2 mattresses, 2 water drums. I paid the contructors and spent some money on food.
