Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
" Receiving this money for the first time was a dream come true for me. I was very excited about it and whenever I think about it, I can't easily control my emotion of joy. I have not been able to handle such amount before. What came to my mind was that I now have the opportunity to achieve my goal - construction of a house for my children and me. I know that this money and the rest to come will make my life better".
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life since you started receiving payments from GiveDirectly.
" Since the receipt of this transfer, things have changed for me in a better direction. For example, I had struggled to pay my children's school fees then. Currently, I was able to have paid their school fess with ease because of GiveDirectly's good gesture. I had struggled then to even raised money to buy a zinc because I am almost like a single mother for my five children, because my husband is paralyzed. GiveDirectly's transfer will enable me to build my house to give me a state of Independence that I have lack for a long time considering my age.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
" I used my first transfer to buy two bundles of zinc. I used the other portion to pay my children's school fees and to purchase uniform and shoes. The house, when constructed, will enable my family to live in it independently because I am currently living in my father's house with my other siblings.

The capitol I have in the business now is very small and can not feed my children and pay their school fees.
What is the happiest part of your day?
I am not really happy because since my man left me things are not really fine me.I am a grown up woman and seeing myself living in my father's house bring me sorrow all the time.I really need a house of my own. This will bring me happiness.

I am living in a family house now, which is my father house and occupying one room in this house. I have five children , four are living with my sister, they can not live with me because the room is small to contain all of us. My major challenge now is building a house, since my man left me , things have become so difficult with me in getting money. I have tried hard to save and build a house for my children and myself , but still can not be achievable. I want to build a house that my children and myself will live and feel happy. Now they are living with family members, which is not making me happy ,only one person I have living with me.
