How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
Yes I have new goals that I never had before. These new goals are to build my house and send my two children to school. I am living in a house made out of papoe or thatch roof. My family and I face serious problem during rainy season due to the leakages that we experienced. Therefore, when I started receiving money from Givedirectly, I thought of building my house. My two children have not been going to school due to lack of money. I also decided to send my children to school after I received my first transfer.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
Givedirectly has done so many things for us through the unconditional cash transfer. These transfers have brought infrastructure development in our verious communities. Givedirectly has empowered us financially to the extent that some of us can now send Our children to school and build houses for ourselves.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
I spent my most recent money on zinc.

Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
I was cooking when my uncle came from the network area where he went to make a call saying that he has received his GiveDirectly money. Everyone else including myself ran there, a 30 mins walk away from the town to check our phones. It was exciting and shocking when I realized that my portion of the transfer was in my phone. I came back very happy, happier than I have ever been in my entire life.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life since you started receiving payments from GiveDirectly.
I have never received such amount before in my life from anyone for any reason. Having such amount itself is a big difference. When I complete my house, it will be the biggest achievement for me, leaving the mud hut and moving into a decent home.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
I intend to buy building materials and build a zinc house and move out of the thatch mud hut we're currently living in. My husband is away for now so I'm waiting for him to return so we can start our project.

At times I find it difficult speaking among people because my parents didn't send me to school and looking at my children not being in school I usually feel embarrassed so I will used the money to support my children in school to represent me whenever educated people are sitting somewhere and the remaining money will be used to to build my family a better house.
What is the happiest part of your day?
For the past 6 months, seeing my husband and myself not into any confusion bring happiness to me.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
Finding money to support my children in school is my major challenge.
