How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
The new goal that I have now is to build my house. I have been living in a deplorable place. My family and I suffered every year during the rainy season due to leakages we experienced from the roof. The house is roof with papoe or thatch that can no longer hold water. Therefore, when I received my money, I decided to build a new house to live in.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
Givedirectly has done extremely well by empowering us financially. This has enable some of us to start building and also paid school fees for our children.

Describe the biggest difference in your daily life since you started receiving payments from GiveDirectly.
The biggest difference the cash transfer made in our lives is to assist us build a zinc roofed house instead of been in a tash roofed house all our lives. I usually make pepper, and cassava farm while my husband make traps to kill meat. The meat killed assist us sell some to buy cube, salt and other things needed to cook for the day. Now that Give Directly has come to assist us, we are going to make good used of our cash. Thanks again GD.

I bought two and half bundles of zinc to start our house project, and then saved the balance cash. Thanks to GD

What does receiving this money mean to you?
I am a struggling person from a very suffering back ground. My mother and father struggle to see up grow. Today I am married and have my parents,brothers and sisters to help take care of.
Our family don't have money most of them look up to me for help but I don't have enough to share with them fully. Today I want to say to you if I am bless to get some of this money I will do business that the money will grow so I can help my brothers and sisters especially my parents because they suffered so much for me.
What is the happiest part of your day?
I am happy today because what I ever wanted is what Give Directly say they will give free of charge. I am so so glad and I will always remember this help all the days of my life. Do you know what it will be like to see me helping my parents and taking my family to another level. Thanks to Give Directly family for coming to change my story.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
My main problem that I will say to you is money. Helping my family without money do think I will do better for them?No ; so I need money just money to do what I have planned over the years. I want to see my children go to school, all is money my brothers and sisters is fully looking up to me but money will answer all the questions.
