What did you spend your third transfer on?
I spent part of my third transfer to re-stock my retail shop with 20,000 KES . I started the business with 15,000 KES from my second transfer, and from it I have saved so far 10,000 KES towards our daughter's second term Secondary school fee, and I still have time to save more before the month of May . I have also bought 10 birds from my Retail shop profits, and as we talk I have a total of 27 four week old chicks, will be selling chicken soon. Before GD financial support, I was at Zero and worth nothing, I was a full time house wife and depended fully on my husband's little and unpredictable income . I thank GD that these days I am a Partner with my husband since I am a contributor to the household budget.

What did you spend your second transfer on?
When I received my second transfer, I spent most of it on buying sand and 12 bags of cement which I used to plaster my entire house and cemented the floor in order to make it durable, more attractive and easier to clean. I then used 12000 KES on starting a retail shop which I manage myself inorder to have a sustainable income for my family. The balance was then spent on buying a sofa set since we had no proper seats in the house, as well as buying foodstuffs for my family.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life.
The biggest difference in my daily life is that I have a cemented house which makes my cleaningg very easy, and the walls are also stronger after being plaster, so it saves me the agony of repairing the walls from time to time.

What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
Access to safe and sufficient water supply is the biggest hardship I currently experience.
What is the happiest part of your day?
In an ordinary day, I am happiest at supper time when every family member is in and we share on a table. It feels good to me being together with my family.
What does receiving this money mean to you?
This is a very good opportunity for me to start a retail shop in my village where I will be able to earn a living because there are no shops within. My family entirely depends on my spouse for all our needs and being a polygamous family, he is overwhelmed. I will supplement the family income base and see our children get education and food that is now a challenge to them.
